World Famous Primatologist Coming to San Diego

by Carole A. Lane on March 30th, 2008

Tomorrow (March 31) world-renowned primatologist and United Nations Messenger of Peace Dr. Jane Goodall will provide the keynote address at the 45th International Conference on Fundraising, after which she will be signing her book Reason for Hope: A Spiritual Journey, at the San Diego Convention Center.

On Tuesday (April 1), Dr. Goodall will visit the University of California, San Diego for a public tree-planting ceremony, followed by a luncheon to honor UC San Diego’s sustainability initiatives, organizations that have all demonstrated a commitment to the environment and social justice.

If you miss these two special opportunities to see Dr. Goodall in person, she will be back on Thursday, April 17, when she will appear at the Joan B. Kroc Distinguished Lecture Series: “Reason to Hope,” being held at the Jenny Craig Pavilion (at USD).  Dr. Goodall will speak on how we can save threatened species, the planet, and ultimately ourselves.
