Wild Wheels Around Town

by Carole A. Lane on July 24th, 2008

Mummy-Bus With Comic-Con in town, driving around the Gaslamp can be quite a challenge. This is not only due to the crowds and the friendly freakshow walking around the Convention Center. There are also vehicles advertising everything from upcoming movies to energy drinks, and they’re enough to stop traffic.

Here are just a few of the examples that I caught on film since yesterday:

Tru-Blood-Truck Flying-Cow-Satellite-Truck The-Age-of-Insects-Van

Red-Bull-CarThe Eureka ice cream truck was my personal favorite, because they gave out ice cream drumsticks wrapped in Eureka bags, along with Eureka napkins. (Love the show, loved the drumstick!)

Ronald-VanI won’t say I understand every moving advertisement I saw. For example, what’s the evil Ronald McDonald van about?

Not all of the wild wheels are outside of the Convention Center this week either. The Nerd Herd car from Chuck and the latest Bond car can also be seen on the Exhibit Hall floor.

If you see any other wild wheels driving around town this weekend, send in a picture. Until then, drive safely, you Comic-Con freaks!
