Visit the Village of Falconbridge and Step Into the Renaissance

For the next two weekends (April 5-6 and April 12-13), Felicita Park will again be transported back to the 16th century to celebrate the 4th Annual Escondido Renaissance Faire.

Travel back in time to visit merry olde England during the reign of Elizabeth the First. See Her Royal Highness, along with Her Royal Court as they share a lovely weekend in the countryside (while perhaps seeking a suitor).

Enjoy presentations of several plays of Will Shakespeare. See battle pageants, music in the streets, jugglers and hundreds of costumed villagers as they bring the Renaissance to life before your eyes and ears.

Dine on tasty foods (like huge turkey legs), fine wines and strong ales.

Stroll through the merchant’s market,  shopping through over fifty booths for treasures and rare finds.

If you’ve never been to a Renaissance Faire, be prepared to interact with the actors who live as characters of the period for these two weeks each year.

You can come in costume, or dress casually, according to the weather. Bring a camera, but don’t expect the villagers to understand what you’re doing with it. (The camera hasn’t yet been invented!) Be prepared for a little escapism and a lot of fun.

The Renaissance Faire is a great outing for the whole family.
