Tour of Fort Rosecrans
This weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to visit one of San Diego’s most
private military bases, and to view some of its most historic buildings. Among the highlights will be the 1904-1905 Colonial Revival Officers Quarters and Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, the 1919 U.S. Navy Argonaut Hall, the 1915 U.S. Army Battery White, the 1898 Battery Wilkeson and several other sites on the Point Loma Sub base. This unique tour will include an exceedingly rare walk-through of one of the Senior Officer’s Quarters.
An architectural research historian and author, Ron May is President and co-founder of Legacy 106, Inc. and Chairman of the Fort Guijarros Museum Foundation, and will serve as the tour guide at this event.
