This Weekend in San Diego County (October 27-28)

With all of the fires in San Diego County, it’s hard to imagine that there’s much to do this weekend, but many of San Diego’s attractions (SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, LegoLand, Balboa Park, Old Town) are now open.

Some of the local events have been canceled or postponed, however, including:

Spooktacular People Pet Walk (postponed)
San Diego Memory Walk ‘07 (canceled)
El Dia de los Muertos at the San Diego Museum of Man (postponed)
Step Out to Fight Diabetes (canceled)
5K Walk Save a Life San Diego (postponed)
Luratics’ Annual Halloween Party/Member Appreciation Day (canceled)
6th Annual October Gourd & Pumpkin Festival (postponed)
Del Mar Fall Festival II Horse Show (canceled)
Escondido Renaissance Faire (postponed)
2007 Oceanside Fallen Officer 5K Memorial Walk/Run in Honor of Our Fallen Hero Officer Dan Bessant (postponed)

Some of these events are donating all or part of their profits to San Diego organizations that are helping our fire victims, so please support those events first.

Be sure to check the websites or call before going out this weekend, just to make sure that the places you’re going are open. The fires are still burning in many areas, so schedules can change very suddenly.
