We live in a desert, in constant drought, and each new fire - whether man-made or naturally occurring – reminds us of the disastrous wildfires in our recent past, and the very real possibility that San Diego can erupt in flames again.

We live in a desert, in constant drought, and each new fire - whether man-made or naturally occurring – reminds us of the disastrous wildfires in our recent past, and the very real possibility that San Diego can erupt in flames again.

Are you ready?

One step you can take is to register with AlertSanDiego. AlertSanDiego is an emergency notification system that can call or email you in the event of an emergency in your area. Listed and unlisted land line phone numbers are already included in the AlertSanDiego database and do not need to be registered, but you can register your cell phone, VoIP phone, and email address as well, providing other ways that you can be notified if you need to be evacuated.

To register with AlertSanDiego, simply go to their site on the ReadySanDiego website, fill out their form, and click on Submit. You never know where you’ll be when the next wildfire occurs, so why not register so that you can be reached, wherever you are?
