Dog lovers will really enjoy San Diego this weekend. There are canine-centered events for dogs of all kinds, as well as those of us who love to watch our furry friends.
For the athletic pooch, there’s the Surf Dog Competition at Loews Coronado Bay Resort at Imperial Beach on Saturday (June 28). Coronado Surfing Academy will provide surfing lessons for the dogs from 9:30 to 10:30am, and competition will start at 11am. Hearing about the 15-foot waves that were expected yesterday along the coast, we headed for the beach to see if we could bring some of that back to you. Well, we picked the wrong beach, at least to see the 15-footers.
Ocean Beach reported 15-foot waves  around 3 yesterday afternoon, while we were looking at the gorgeous views from Sunset Cliffs (a bit further south).
Sunset Cliffs Park lies on 68 acres of bluffs and walking paths high above the Pacific. There’s a long staircase that
