			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This weekend marks the first of two San Diego walks to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a disease with no known cause or cure. It is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, characterized by mild symptoms such as numbness in the limbs, or severe symptoms that can include paralysis and/or loss of vision.</p>
<p>San Diego&#8217;s walks for MS are our part of the six-hundred walks planned throughout the world this year to raise funds to cure this disease.</p>
<h3>Saturday, April 19</h3>

<p>The walk will be followed by lunch provided by Papa John&#8217;s Pizza, live music, and festivities such as face painting, inflatable fun jumps, building with LEGOS, and other family activities at the LEGOLAND California Fun Zone.</p>

<h3>Saturday, April 26</h3>

<p>This beautiful three-mile walk will stretch along San Diego Harbor, with rest stops for beverages, snacks entertainment and restrooms along the way. </p>
<p>The walk will be followed by lunch provided by Papa John&#8217;s Pizza, live music, and festivities such as face painting, inflatable fun jumps, building with LEGOS, and other family activities at the LEGOLAND California Fun Zone.</p>
<h3>Prizes</h3>
<p>Walkers can earn <a href="http://www.mswalk.com/faf/home/ccp.asp?ievent=256463&amp;lis=1&amp;kntae256463=72C69F2D0C6945CCA76090B99F30A18C&amp;ccp=52858" target="_blank">prizes</a> ranging from an official Walk MS T-shirt for raising funds of $95 to a <span style="font-family: verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt">$1,000 Nordstrom gift card, plus a T-shirt and membership into the Chapter&#8217;s Mission Possible Club for raising at least $10,000. <a href="http://www.mswalk.com/faf/home/ccp.asp?ievent=256463&amp;lis=1&amp;kntae256463=72C69F2D0C6945CCA76090B99F30A18C&amp;ccp=52858" target="_blank">Team Awards</a> will also be given based on funds raised.</span></span></p>
<h3>Virtual Walkers</h3>
<p>If you can&#8217;t be there for either of these walks, or can&#8217;t walk the course, you are welcome to participate through fundraising as a <a href="http://www.mswalk.com/faf/home/ccp.asp?ievent=256463&amp;lis=1&amp;kntae256463=9A65FB9D9EE34AC0AEEEA1B49ACBFC73&amp;ccp=53033" target="_blank">virtual walker</a>. Virtual Walkers earn the same prizes as actual walkers, based on their fundraising levels.</p>
