]]> Cerveca by the PlayaFor decades a debate has waged over whether or not to allow alcohol on San Diego’s beaches. If you ever watched an episode of Beach Patrol: San Diego, you’d understand why. Drunks seem to take up more of the beach officers’ time than anything else, and the beach brawl last Labor Day didn’t help.

This November, San Diegans will weigh in on how they feel about this issue when it appears on their ballots as Proposition D.

If you’re undecided on this issue, you can read the argument for Proposition D from Safe Beaches San Diego, and the argument against it from San Diego Safe Beach Coalition.

Both organizations are also accepting donations and volunteers, so feel free to join whichever side you feel strongly about and make your voice heard.
