Street Scene San Diego Moving Again
Although we’ve been hearing for months that the San Diego Street Scene is moving to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, the venue has been changed again. It’s actually going to the Coors Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, on September 22 & 23.
Slow ticket sales are being blamed for the move, but are you surprised? The Del Mar Races actually seem to have a more exciting concert lineup, with bands like the Violent Femmes, Ziggy Marley and The Cult.
Street Scene’s current lineup includes:
- The Academy is…
- Air Arctic Monkeys
- Augustana
- B-Side Players
- Biffy Clyro
- Brand New
- Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
- Dios
- Editors
- Elvis Perkins
- Fair to Midland
- G. Love & Special Sauce
- Gym Class Heroes
- Honeycut
- Infected Mushroom
- Jack’s Mannequin
- The Killers
- Kinky
- Louis XIV
- Matt Costa
- Mickey Avalon
- MIKA
- Mims
- Muse
- Mute Math
- Ozomatli
- Panic! at the Disco
- Paolo Nutini
- Punk Rock Karaoke
- Sean Na Na
- Shut Up Stella
- Slightly Stoopid
- Social Distortion
- Supersuckers
- Sweet & Tender Hooligans
- Too Short
- Van Stone
- The Village People
- VNV Nation
Although I’m sure these are all great bands, there aren’t many headliners in the group. Street Scene seems to be dying a slow death ever since it left the streets of San Diego.
