Sneak Preview of Comic-Con Tonight!
From 6 to 9 tonight, Comic-Con International will open their massive exhibit hall for a sneak preview only to the those who are pre-registered for 3 or 4 days and the press. No registrations will be sold separately for Preview Night.
What Happens on Preview Night?
It’s a chance to pick up an Events Guide for planning the rest of the weekend. I can tell you from personal experience that you can take hours pouring over the schedule; there’s so much packed into this event.
You can walk around meeting and greeting people in the exhibit hall, checking out their publications, collectibles and memorabilia, products, and project announcements.
On this 30th anniversary of Star Wars, it seems appropriate to start the festivities with a Star Wars Demo, and that’s just what they’ll do. At 6 p.m. a Star Wars PocketModels Demo Event will be held at the 
Wizkids booth (#2743).
From 6:30 to 9 p.m., at the Lionsgate Skinwalkers booth (#4035), Producer and Special Effects Impresario Stan Winston will unveil a life size Skinwalkers creature from the upcoming film of the same name (in theatres on August 10). Attendees will also receive an exclusive collectors’ edition Skinwalkers poster (one of only 1300 
printed).
From 8 to 8:30 p.m., graphic novel artist Tim Sale will appear at NBC’s Heroes booth (#3921) to sign 20 of the paintings that appeared in Season 1 of the show. (Click the artwork to the right to see a Heroes gallery of Sale’s artwork.)
There’s probably much more to see, but this is all that’s been announced so far for Preview Night. I hope to take some great pictures to share this event with anyone who can’t attend, and to report back often through this wild weekend which will virtually take over San Diego. If you’re not coming for Comic-Con, postpone your visit to San Diego until next weekend - the hotels are about full!
