San Diego Pride Event Schedule
The San Diego Pride Celebration (our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender celebration) is the 7th largest in the United States, attracting 150,000 spectators to the Parade and 40,000 to the weekend Festival. The Pride Parade is the best attended and largest single day event in San Diego.
San Diego Pride may be best known for its Festival in beautiful Balboa Park and the annual Parade, however, this year (the 33rd) there are numerous community events held throughout the month of July that are part of Pride’s Official Events program.
July is packed with something for everyone.
The festivities kick off with:
June 28-July 29 - Museum of the Living Artist at the San Diego Art Institute
July 8 - Gay Day at Petco Park
July 12 - Out at the Globe - Avenue Q
July 12 to August 12 - “The Break Up Notebook: The Lesbian Musical” at Diversionary Theatre
July 14 - Hillcrest Centennial Clean Up
July 15 - Pride Sunday (Various congregations and spiritual groups will offer Inclusive Spiritual Celebrations throughout the community)
July 15 - Spirit of Stonewall Community Celebration
July 16 - Spirit of Stonewall Sunset Awards Reception
July 17 - City of San Diego Pride Proclamation
July 20 - Pride Community Breakfast at the Center
July 20 - Pride with a Purpose at the W Hotel presented by Buzz Clothing and myPartnerPerfect, fundraiser for Youth Housing Project
July 21 - 26th Annual Run and Stride with Pride
July 21 - Pride Parade - 11:00am
July 21-22 - Pride Festival at Marston Point in Balboa Park
July 22 - Interfaith Commitment Ceremony
July 22 - Authors & Art event at the Museum of the Living Artist
July 22 - Laughter Yoga
July 26 - LGBT New Creators (session at Comic-Con)
July 27 - Spotlight on Alison Bechdel (session at Comic-Con)
July 28 - Gays in Comics Panel and Mixer: The 20th Anniversary (session at Comic-Con)
