San Diego Black Film Festival

web advertisement_borderCelebrating their 5th Anniversary, the San Diego Black Film Festival takes place this year from January 31 - February 3 at Regal United Artists Theatre 14 in Horton Plaza.

The star studded screenings feature actors, Olympic athletes, NBA stars, Hip Hop stars & many more!

The San Diego Black Film Festival, originally known as the Noir Film Festival, was established in 2004 as a yearly fundraiser for the Black Historical Society of San Diego, the largest black historical society in the country.

The festivities for the event are as follows:

  • January 31: Opening Reception
  • February 1: Opening Party
  • February 1-3: Film Screenings
  • February 2: Film Panel Discussions, Celebrity Meet & Greet & Awards Party

The Films

Over 250 films (10 foreign films) have been submitted to this year’s festival. The films chosen to be screened include:
