Kids’ Day at Comic-Con
If you’re looking for something fun and exciting to do with the kids this Sunday, it’s Kids’ Day at Comic-Con!
It starts with an International Children’s Film Festival, starting at 10:30 a.m. and going until 5 p.m. Short films from around the world made for children— animation, live-action, and documentary—will screen all day long, and some of the screenings are followed by Q&A sessions with attending filmmakers!
There are Kid’s Drawing Workshops, where children can learn to cartoon from industry professionals.
Children and adults can also attend sessions previewing the upcoming season of cartoon series that they probably already watch, as well as some new entries:
- El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera
- Emily the Strange
- The Zula Patrol
- Viva Piñata!
Add to that a reading of Tin Man, a new take on the The Wizard of Oz.
Have your kids ever wondered what it would be like to have a comic artist in the family? They can attend the My Dad Makes Comics! session to hear first-hand from the children of famous cartoonists. Or attend What’s Happening in Kids’ Comics Today? to hear from cartoonists themselves.
Every day of this convention is filled with panels, gaming, autograph sessions, and celebrities that most children would love to see, but if you’re only going to take the family to one day of Comic-Con this year, make it Sunday - It’s Kids’ Day!
