Jazz Festival in the Gaslamp
If you’re a jazz fan, head down to the Gaslamp this Saturday. You won’t want to miss the
32nd Annual Harrah’s Rincon Smooth Jazz 98.1 Gaslamp Festival!
Is that a mouthful, or what?
Gates open at 1 p.m, rain or shine, with performances between 2 and 10 p.m.
Tickets are only $40, and include the cost of an event t-shirt. That would be a real bargain at twice the price, when you consider the cost of any concert ticket.
There will be two stages, with performances by Rick Braun, Norman Brown, Peabo Bryson, Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliot, Euge Groove, Jeff Lorber, Marion Meadows, Oli Silk, Ryan Shaw, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Peter White, and Mindi Abair.
(I saw The Fabulous Thunderbirds perform at the Doheny Blues Festival last weekend and they were, well, FABULOUS!)
If you’d like a taste of what you can expect at the jazz festival, click on the links for the artist above, or tune into KiFM Smooth Jazz 98.1.
