Here Comes the Sun!
Hooray! The sun has come back to San Diego! It feels like summer, with temperatures in the seventies across the county.

It was so nice out, I just had to take a drive down to the beach (about 10-15 minutes away, depending on traffic; I know, I’m bragging).

I took some pictures while I was there so that I could share some California coastal views with all of you.
These pics were taken at Buccaneer Beach in Oceanside. It’s a small beach, surrounded by apartment buildings, and usually isn’t very crowded.
Across the street, there’s Buccaneer Beach Club, a nice little snack shack, providing refreshments for passing bikers, and a quiet place to watch the waves.
Buccaneer Park sits behind the Beach Club and parking lot, where you’ll usually find people walking their dogs and families having picnics on a nice day like this. And yes, those are girls in bikinis in February.
Before I become absolutely obnoxious about our wealth of sunshine, I have to admit that rain is predicted by Monday. We’ve got to enjoy this now, because this summer weather is not expected to last.

Hi Carole-
Thanks so much for stopping by my site. I just updated my blog with a “how much I hate winter” post and stopped over to check yours out to find pictures of beaches and 70+ degree temps! I am so jealous!!! If you take another beach run, please post more pictures! In the meantime, I’ll be hiding under my blankets shivering :)

If it’s any consolation, it’s been pouring most of the night. Our little piece of summer came and went quickly. I’m just so glad that I had the chance to enjoy it, and send a little to all of you.

I am green with envy! I hope that little rodent was right. I believe Phil predicted an early spring. The Tribe asked when we could open our pool, “When the ice rink has melted”. Enjoy your beautiful day.
