Eat Ice Cream for the Firefighters
I know it’s a little early to be doing another ice cream story so soon, but I couldn’t resist. After all, how often can eating ice cream actually benefit firefighters?
Tonight, from 5 to 10 p.m., Baskin-Robbins is offering ice cream scoops for 31 cents each, in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF). Baskin-Robbins will make a donation of $100,000 to the firefighters. Participating Baskin-Robbins stores will also help raise additional funds for local firehouses by inviting fire departments to the event to collect donations.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation provides training to firefighters to prevent deaths in the line of duty, provides consumer information to prevent fires in our communities, and helps remember America’s fallen heroes and assist their families.
In addition to 31-Cent Scoop Night, NFFF is a recipient of a $250,000 grant given by Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation. Dunkin’ Brands Community Foundation’s mission is to serve those who serve others, especially in times of crisis. Dunkin’ Brands is the parent company of Baskin-Robbins, Togo’s and Dunkin’ Donuts.
