Comic-Con Art Show & Auction
If you’re a fan of fantasy, sci fi, horror, or graphic novels (aka cartoon art), tomorrow will be your last chance to check out the art show & auction at Comic-Con this year.
Of course, I couldn’t take photos of the actual paintings or drawings, as they might be reproduced digitally, and I wouldn’t want to do 
anything to harm these wonderful artists. What I was able to film was the 3-dimensional sculptures and artwork.
Fortunately, the most striking and amazing displays in this exhibit were 3-dimensional. They’re the stainless art sculptures of artist William Mang. When you realize that some of these are actually over 6 feet tall, you can imagine what an impression they make in person.
Then there are the other gruesome, strange, and sometimes whimsical small art pieces, which sit on tables surrounding the exhibit.
You might need to be a little twisted to enjoy this part of the art show. If this just isn’t you, come anyway; you’re sure to find something you love in the paintings and drawings. The variety is absolutely wonderful, and you’ll definitely find something here you won’t see elsewhere.
Besides, the sale of the art goes to two great causes. The proceeds benefit the Disabled Services Department and Artists’ Alley. The Disabled Services Department provides deaf interpreters for hearing-impaired members. Artists’ Alley provides the space, at no cost, for industry pros to gather.
