Come to the Flower Fields!
On March 3, the Flower Fields in Carlsbad will be again open to the public, drawing thousands of visitors for the next 8 week (ending May 13th).
If you’ve never seen 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, you’ll have to visit to appreciate how breathtaking this display is. On a sunny day, it’s a great outing for the whole family. You’ll see:
50 acres of extraordinary color in bloom on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a special nursery, garden, and gift shop by Armstrong Garden Centers, and festivals throughout the season

Hey nice site you have. I like the pictures especially. Did you take them?

Thanks, Sidharth. The pictures come from many directions. I took some, like the beach shots on “Here Comes the Sun” and those in San Diego’s Asian area in “Gung Hay Fat Choy.”
Others come from the sites mentioned, as in this article. (If you mouse over them, you’ll usually see a courtesy notice, and if you click, you’ll go to their sites.)
Then there are some with clip art or stock photos, like the “San Diego Garden Clubs” article.
I recently visited a photography gallery, and took a photographer with me, whose shots I’ll use for that upcoming article.
I would gratefully accept photos from readers who would like to share their favorite San Diego shots too (with proper attribution and a link to the photographer, of course). There’s more to San Diego than the tourist attractions, after all, and I’d like to show all of our communities. I’ll bet that many of our readers come for the pictures, so thanks for asking.
