Here’s another option - our area codes.
San Diego County has only three area codes, […]

Barona’s $1 Million Quacker Dash

The fourth annual Barona’s $1,000,000 Quacker Dash will take place tomorrow (May 14th) at The Wave Waterpark in Vista. Have You Got a Date for the Oscars?

If you’re ready for the red carpet, but don’t have anyone to watch the Academy Awards with, head to the Witherby this Sunday evening for “A Night at the Oscars.”
The Academy Awards will be featured on a jumbo projector screen, and a complimentary martini and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Happy Thanksgiving, San Diego!

San Diegans have so much to be thankful for. It starts with our beautiful weather, extends through our miles of scenic surroundings, and continues into the wonderful people in our communities.
In the twenty years I’ve lived in San Diego county, I doubt that I’ve ever gone to a store without someone striking up a conversation with […]

Homespun Hawaii Host to Global Carnival

This week’s Carnival of Cities starts in lovely Hawaii with our host, Evelyn in Homespun Honolulu. Evelyn’s article, “Shall We Talk About the Weather?”  leaves me very worried about our good friend in the path of Hurricane Flossie. Be careful, Evelyn, and be sure to post an update letting us know you’re okay.
Each of the articles […]

This Weekend in San Diego County (August 11-12)

It looks like a less eventful weekend in San Diego County, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do. In addition to the usual attractions (SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, LegoLand, Balboa Park, Old Town, the beach), the State Champion Solana Beach Little League will face off against Chandler, Arizona on Saturday night, and the […]
