Behind the Scenes of Good Luck Chuck

by Carole A. Lane on August 1st, 2007

On Thursday, Jessica Alba, Dane Cook and director Mark Helfrich appeared before a very appreciative audience at Comic-Con. They brought along a trailer to their new film Good Luck Chuck, which is a very physical comedy. This isn’t the same trailer that we saw in San Diego, but it’s close (the main difference that I remember is that we saw more of Jessica’s physical comedy):

In the film, Jessica portrays a penguin handler at a “SeaWorld-kinda thing,” as she describes here:

As for behind-the-scenes info, Jessica shared that she chipped a tooth during a kissing scene with Dane, so now she has a cap in front. It just so happens that her character also chips a tooth in another scene of the movie.

Someone in the crowd yelled out, “I LOVE YOU JESSICA!” and she said, “I love you too.” Dane said he likes us a lot, but he still wants to see other people.

When asked about other project they’re working on, Jessica said that she’s working on The Eye, which is “really scary.” She thinks that it’s going to “transcend the genre.”

Cook joked that he’s filming Marmaduke, and he’ll be playing Marmaduke.

Good Luck Chuck opens on September 21.
