Are You Tech Savvy?
Approximately ten percent of San Diegans are “digitally savvy,” according to Scarborough Research. The real surprise is that we ranked ahead of high tech metropolises Seattle and San Francisco! We were, in fact, number four, behind Austin, Las Vegas, and Sacramento.

Access the Internet If you’re reading this, you can check off at least one of these questions. If you checked off eight or more, congratulations! You’re tech savvy! If not, maybe it’s time to find out what you’re missing. My top three digital picks on this list - My PDA, DVR and MP3 player. My PDA is an absolute necessity. As I lose brain cells, I just add memory to my PDA, which of course synchs with my computer. Now I hardly have to remember anything, but I always have my calendar, phone book, shopping lists, a digital book to read, food and exercise logs, and endless notes handy, and digitally searchable! How does anyone live without one? I couldn’t imagine going back to living without a DVR again. It’s so great to be able to watch shows and films on MY schedule (although I admit I do watch a LOT more shows now, albeit without commercials). My MP3 player has been more fun than I ever imagined. Being able to drive around with about 5,000 songs that I like on my MP3 player is amazing, and I’m still adding more weekly. When I get around to it, I also plan to load some books on tape for car trips. What fun. How about you? What are your must-have gadgets? What can’t you live without that didn’t even exist when you were growing up?
