Stay Classy & Kathy Loper Events present the End of Summer Fire Run, a gorgeous 4 mi coastal run/walk from La Jolla to Pacific Beach on Sunday, August 24.
Like all Stay Classy events, a portion of proceeds from the event will go to benefit a local charity, in this case the San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation.

World Bodysurfing Championships

World Bodysurfing Championships

The 32nd Annual World Bodysurfing Championships will be held this weekend (August 23-24) adjacent to the pier in Oceanside. Approximately 350-400 bodysurfers from around the world will compete in their respective age divisions for trophies and prizes.

2007 World Bodysurfing Championships
The contest is projected to start at 6:30 am each morning with age competition taking place as noted on the Heat Schedule. The Men and Women’s Grand Champions will be crowned on Sunday afternoon.

San Diego Polo Club will host the first “Boots and Bolos” Western Party on Friday, August 29th.
Boots and Bolos is the celebrity charitable kickoff to the Spreckels Cup, one of the oldest and most prestigious events in all of polo.

On Tuesday, August 19, the California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE) is hosting the 2008 Sustainability Fair, which will feature vendor displays and workshops, providing the latest technology and information in sustainable energy, water use, recycling and waste management.
