Journey to the Lost Temple
Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, LEGOLAND launches “Journey to the Lost Temple,” an interactive musical adventure comedy featuring characters from the Park’s own Land of Adventure. The first year-round musical production in the history of LEGOLAND California, this show is specifically for children ages 2 to 12, featuring a cast of five San Diego-based actors and more than 30 volunteers pulled from the audience.
In “Journey to the Lost Temple,” the audience enters a museum to witness explorer Johnny Thunder’s latest discovery – an ancient time machine found in Cleopatra’s lost temple. When Johnny’s arch nemesis, Sam Sinister tries to steal the time machine, it activates and transports everyone back in time to ancient Egypt and the Lost Temple of Cleopatra. In order to return home, Johnny Thunder and the audience must find the time machine.
In their search, they meet a chatty mummy
named Moriah, a Sphinx with a Las Vegas attitude and a valley girl Cleopatra. The score includes a fun mix of well known songs such as “Walk Like an Egyptian” and “The Time Warp Dance” combined with new songs written especially for the production.
“Journey to the Lost Temple” will run year-round in the Playtown Theater with dates and times varying by season. For a complete show schedule, view the show guide at www.LEGOLAND.com or call 760-918-LEGO.

We went there with two six year old boys yesterday (5/24, 1:00 PM show), and had a good time. The cast put in a lot of effort, the songs were funny, and the kids had a chance to take part in the performance on-stage. We also appreciated that the cast hung out after the show to take photographs with the audience.
That’s great to hear, Atanu. You’re the first person I’ve heard from who’s seen it, and I’m glad you all enjoyed it. I’ll be sure to see this show on our next LEGOLAND visit, which should be soon. Thanks!
