Walk for MS

This weekend marks the first of two San Diego walks to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a disease with no known cause or cure. It is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, characterized by mild symptoms such as numbness in the limbs, or severe symptoms that can include paralysis and/or loss of vision.

San Diego’s walks for MS are our part of the six-hundred walks planned throughout the world this year to raise funds to cure this disease.

Prizes

Walkers can earn prizes ranging from an official Walk MS T-shirt for raising funds of $95 to a $1,000 Nordstrom gift card, plus a T-shirt and membership into the Chapter’s Mission Possible Club for raising at least $10,000. Team Awards will also be given based on funds raised.

Virtual Walkers

If you can’t be there for either of these walks, or can’t walk the course, you are welcome to participate through fundraising as a virtual walker. Virtual Walkers earn the same prizes as actual walkers, based on their fundraising levels.
