Walk for MS

This weekend marks the first of two San Diego walks to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a disease with no known cause or cure. It is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, characterized by mild symptoms such as numbness in the limbs, or severe symptoms that can include paralysis and/or loss of vision.
San Diego’s walks for MS are our part of the six-hundred walks planned throughout the world this year to raise funds to cure this disease.

Wine Festival for Make-A-Wish

The 2nd Annual California Wine Festival will feature hundreds of California wines, regional craft brews and gourmet foods from local chefs.
Thousands of wine lovers will gather to celebrate fine wine and food at the Embarcadero Marina Park North on San Diego Bay, while enjoying blues and jazz music and other live entertainment. 
Ten dollars from each ticket sold and 100% of the net proceeds from all auction items will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, San Diego Chapter. The non-profit organization grants wishes to children who have been diagnosed with life threatening medical conditions.

Airport Parking Just Got Easier

Airport Parking Just Got Easier

San Diego International Airport has about 6,000 parking spaces spread over six lots, not including the privately run lots operating near the airfield. For those travelers who don’t want to deal with navigating these lots to find their own parking spaces, a new option is available – Valet Parking right at the curbside.
Passengers flying out of San Diego can pull into the valet area at Lindbergh Field’s Terminal 1 or 2 (noted by the SAN Park Valet signs) and check-in there. The valet will park their cars for them.

On March 25, bloggers from around San Diego County converged on David’s Coffee Place for a little networking schmooze.
This was the largest San Diego Blogger MeetUp so far. The attendees represented a diverse mix of backgrounds and interests, leading to some great conversations and many laughs. There were techies, a linguist, sports enthusiasts, a father-daughter blogging team, a political candidate, activists, photographers, and writers.
