The San Diego Special Edition – December 17, 2007

logo_chargers1h.jpgWelcome to the December 17, 2007 issue of The San Diego Special Edition!

I hope that you’re having fun at the holiday festivities taking place all over the county this season. With sunny days and cold nights, there’s a little something for everyone in our weather lately, and so many ways to celebrate.

This San Diego blog carnival is one way we celebrate around here every month.

business

j0308936 Real estate is an important part of life in San Diego. Although Dan Melson’s article Which Makes More Difference – Buyer’s Agent or Listing Agent? was written on his San Diego Blog Dan Melson’s San Diego Real Estate and Mortgage Website, it really applies to real estate anywhere.

history

Mission Style Jamie’s article Mission Style Architecture  presents a history of mission-style architecture in San Diego. I have to agree with her, mission-style is my favorite, and San Diego certainly wouldn’t be the same without our tiled roofs poking out among the modern structures and Victorians.  You’ll find her article posted at Go San Diego Card Blog

human interest

SRoushSheryl Roush Releases Heart of the Holidays Book is presented by Debra Simpson at North San Diego Business@Large. Debra says,

“San Diego native Sheryl Roush has lead an interesting life and reflects that in the books she publishes.”

literature

j0400587 The next entry is a bit unusual for our San Diego carnival, but in the interest of including any and all San Diego bloggers possible, why not? Mike Mallowe presents Sitting over a white carpet sipping tea with an erect pinky posted at Mykey03’s Weblog. It’s great to have a literature contribution, but Mike, next time how about writing something about San Diego?

san diego

Loft Jenny Ciampa writes about raising a family in downtown San Diego in Thinking Outside of “The Burbs” Box posted at Urban Nest. With loft living now part of the downtown landscape, it’s great to hear what it’s like from a local.

travel

CoronadoGolf Coronado_Pro presents Golf Course Is A Must Play…During Any Season! posted at Coronado Life, describing it as a “Review on Coronado Golf Course. Great place to play during the winter months for any visitor!”  Wow, what a gorgeous course!

un-human interest

zombiewalk Last of all, I’ll contribute the article Holiday Zombie Walk? posted right here at The San Diego Beat. This event is coming up (Saturday, December 22), and looks like a wild way to join San Diego’s undead in a holiday celebration of  their own.

That concludes this edition. Thanks so much to all of the terrific San Diego bloggers who contributed this month, as well as those who joined us throughout 2007. If you’d like to participate, submit your blog article to the next edition of The San Diego Special Edition using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on our blog carnival index page.
