Skate Demo at Westfield North County

On Saturday, November 10, amateur and pro skateboarders alike showed up at Westfield North County for a gnarly flip demo and team signing. This was part of the Feast West Coast Tour 2007.
Some came to watch the pros, others for a chance to try out the course, and many others for the free giveaways.
If you missed this event, check Sun Diego’s list of future events.  In the meantime, here’s a taste of what we saw:

Art Mart

The Del Mar Classic Dressage Horse Show

Preparing for Disaster
Photograph the inside and outside of your home. Video or stills. Photograph and list anything of real value (jewelry, paintings, sculpture, special guns, silver, coin collections, etc.).
Keep the photos, tape, disk and a copy of your insurance policy in your safety deposit box (it is only like $35 per year). Also place …read more

Sea Life Center to be Built in Carlsbad

Merlin Entertainments Group, owners of Legoland and other attractions throughout Europe, has announced their intention to build a $20 million Sea Life center in Carlsbad, which they expect to open this summer next to Legoland.
Sea Life Legoland will include a 36,000-square-foot, two-story aquarium featuring sea life found in the waters of California. There will also be tanks of sea horses and rays, and a giant circular display where visitors will be surrounded by schools of circling fish. What has been described as an “Indiana Jones-like adventure in 1920s Egypt” is also planned.
Although the aquarium will operate separately from Legoland and require …read more
