This Weekend in San Diego County (October 13-14)

There’s always so much to do in the San Diego area. In addition to the local attractions (SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo (and kids get in free this month), Wild Animal Park, LegoLand, Balboa Park, Old Town), it’s time for the Annual Julian Fall Apple Harvest!
Some of the big events happening this weekend are the Miramar Airshow, [...]

High School Musical Coming to San Diego

If you have a daughter from 7-14 years of age, you’re probably familiar with High School Musical (1 and 2). If she’s anything like mine, you can probably even sing along to most of the songs.

This Weekend in San Diego County (October 6-7)

The only trouble is that there’s no way to attend them all. In addition to the local attractions (SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo (and kids get in free this month), Wild Animal Park, LegoLand, Balboa Park, Old Town), it’s time for the Annual Julian [...]

No Stadium for Oceanside

After discussing the latest marketing study released by the Chargers, Oceanside City Council met in a closed session on Wednesday and decided not to continue stadium talks with the Chargers.
Chula Vista is now the last city in San Diego County that is hoping to build the new stadium, since National City and Oceanside have [...]

Birch Aquarium at Scripps

Looking at the latest YouTube videos, I ran across a new one taken at Birch Aquarium in La Jolla. If you can’t get there in person, take a little break from your busy day and enjoy some of our local sea life from wherever you are:

Thanks to “clannon” for the very cool video.

Viking Festival

Yesterday, I took my family to the Viking Festival at Norway Hall in Vista. It’s not a large festival, sort of like a very small version of a Renaissance Faire. You could walk through the whole place in less than 20 minutes, or spend the whole day enjoying the crafts, music, demonstrations and food.
 There were vendor [...]
