Did You Feel That?

At 10:29 a.m. today, there was a magnitude 4.7 earthquake reported 8 miles SSE of El Cerrito, which was experienced here in San Diego county as a small tremble.

When you feel an earthquake and want to know more, you can check for Recent Significant Events in the California Region, from the U.S. Geological Survey. You can also use that site to report an earthquake, or view historic earthquake events.

If you’d like to see a map of recent seismic activity, go to Seismic Monitor, provided by the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS).
