Thanks for the comment, Sue. The board also implied that the principals were lying if they told teachers that they didn’t have input. I’ve got to wonder how the principals feel about being made the scapegoat for the board’s actions.

Not only were lies told by the school board, but also by the Assistant Superintendent (HR) when asked if principals had been contacted to give input on the temporary teachers. She said “yes”, but according to the teachers and principals, the real answer would have been “no”.

Thank you for writing this, hopefully the “over qualified” teachers that got interviews today read this and decided not to attend. I am a student at RBV and I attended to support my 7th grade teacher Mrs. Campbell. It was disgusting how the board members lacked respect for even children speaking. Please do stay away from VUSD.

Thank you, I look forward to hearing what you have to say. I was appalled at the blatant lies and insensitivity that came from the school board last night. It disgusts me that school districts like Oceanside and San Marcos give priority to their substitutes and student teachers and Vista won’t even stand behind thier temporary teachers. Ultimately this will affect the students and that is what is really sad.
