24th Annual Indian Fair in San Diego

This weekend, the in Balboa Park will host and , and admission is free.  There will be:

two full days of artists’ sales and demonstrations, music and dancing, and educational events.

Activities for children will be available at a Craft Corner, including pinch pots and beaded necklaces.  Guided tours of the Kumeyaay exhibit and the ‘ewaa (a Kumeyaay house) will be available.

More than 50 Native American artists will offer their arts and crafts, including last year’s Best in Show artist Glenda McKay (pictured at left), who is a doll-maker.  Painted pots, weaving, storytelling, doll-making and jewelry-making are examples of the crafts you’ll find over the weekend.

The Living Traditions Dance Troupe will perform on both days, dancing for and with the audience.

The fair starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.  For more information, see the .
