Library Fine Amnesty Now
Do you have overdue library books? Did you know that if you return them by Tuesday (April 24), the San Diego County libraries will waive all overdue book fines?
This promotion is called “We Miss You and Those Overdue Books @ Your Library,” and it’s part of a National Library Week promotion.
According to the County of San Diego’s library news:
National Library Week is a national observance celebrating the contributions of our nation’s libraries in making America strong and promoting library use and support.
San Diego County libraries have an additional reason to celebrate. They’re about to open the 33rd branch of this library system at 10433 Reserve Drive in San Diego. The dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for the 4S Ranch Library will take place on April 26th at 11 a.m., followed by refreshments and entertainment, and you’re invited.

What a great idea! I would love to know just how many books actually find their way home, no questions asked!
