Waitstaff at San Diego Restaurant Mock, Then Assault Young Autistic Boy
I had planned to write about something else today, but when I read about this, I thought I should give it some attention here, and some support to the family.
A San Diego family was shocked when a waitress at the restaurant they were dining in mocked their young, autistic son who “took too long” to order his food. Things got worse when she grabbed him and began shaking him and yelling at him. The manager’s response? “It’s your son’s fault”.

Wow. The thing that surprises me is that even after the guy told the manager that his son is autistic he backed the waitress. Someone needs some sensitivity training in that restaurant. Sad.
You’re right bobbarama! Some familiarity with the laws on assault wouldn’t hurt either.
