Do you ever feel like visiting a museum, but don’t know which has the most interesting exhibit right now? Will it be the Nomads of Kazakhstan, a photographic celebration of women, or maybe Jewelry of Five Continents? Are you interested in Guatemalan weaving, or the sculptures of John Dirks? With over 100 local museums, don’t you wish there was a convenient way to see what they each have to offer this weekend, all from one place?
Perhaps you’d rather see a play. Will it be Don Quixote at the San Diego Repertory Theatre, the ballet Beauty & the Beast by the California Ballet Company, or maybe a puppet show at Marie Hitchcock Puppet Theater? Don’t you wish you knew about all of the local productions?
If so, San Diego Art + Sol is the place to go.

and contains a wealth of information about current events and productions around San Diego County. The site is searchable, so it can save you a great deal of time scouring the newspapers and the web, looking for visual and performing arts.
You should know that San Diego Art + Sol doesn’t list everything. For example, you won’t find sporting events, or this weekend’s production of Disney on Ice. Nor will you find the upcoming Ugly Dog Contest at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, or next week’s poetry slam. I’ll do my best to add events like these to The San Diego Beat Calendar, so that you have access to a wider variety of entertainment.
